Writing to Swann, Tolkien gives him an update on plans for Swann's recital at Merton during the Tolkien's Golden Wedding celebrations. He gives some details on the room to be used, saying it is not very suitable, with low ceilings and a lot of furniture "stuffed" in.
He closes the letter remarking that "Galadriel was a southerner" but that some Elves in Rivendell would have a northern accent.
