Tolkien replies to Donald Swann to wish him well for his and Flanders' tour of the U.S. and give shim an update on his and Edith's health. He explains they both have arthiritis, but they hope to go ahead with their cruise during September and early October.

He suggests that they alter a song to not clash with Flanders' 'Sloth', and gives the suggestion of replacing 'dragonfly' with 'butterfly'

He remarks on his hope that the Swann's can visit when his tour of America is finished.
