The wrap-around cover (shown in the first two photos) is not fastened to the rest of the pages, but either it was produced like that or a bit of glue gave up the fight sometime along the way. Photo #3 shows the front with the cover removed. Photo #4 shows the contents page and #5 shows one random shot of an interior illo. Beautifully printed on smooth paper, with lots of illustrations (many in color), including comics. Some information on this publication, in general, which lasted four issues: from Philsp.:Total Issues: 4Emphasis on artwork and graphics. Attracted good writers but fiction took a back seat. Authors include Michael Moorcock, Harlan Ellison, Roger Zelazny, Larry Niven. from SF Encyclopedia:Large-letter-size US magazine (12 x 9 in; about 305 x 230 mm); four issues (Autumn 1976, 1977, April and October 1978), published by Morning Star Press; edited by Thomas Durwood. Ariel was lavishly produced on glossy paper, emphasizing fantastic art and Heroic Fantasy, including episodes of the Comic Strip Den by Richard Corben and a feature on Frank Frazetta. Critical and historical articles were interspersed with fiction by Harlan Ellison, Michael Moorcock, Roger Zelazny, and others. {I didn’t find any actual reviews of this volume, so just let me say that it is totally awesome… incredible!!! I would love to take 20 or so photos of the interior, but I am afraid I might break the binding if I tried to get a lot of good photos.} PS: I don't agree that it is a magazine... it is a book in magazine format, with essentially no advertising, and I want to mail it media mail because it requires a large sturdy package to protect it. (It won't even fit into a priority mail envelope!)______________ WOW! I wrote a book!!! ----- Want to take a look??? ----- Just go to my ebay store category... A: Cthulhu's Cousins.
