This is a specially commissioned Lord of the Rings chess set by the acclaimed English sculptor Dennis Fairweather that really brings to life some of the amazing characters from the Tolkien classic. Each side has been sculpted separately resulting in 18 different heavy weighted and fully hand painted Lord of the Rings chess pieces in crushed marble and resin with felted bottoms. This set was released in 1988. This set DOES NOT come with a board. It is just the pieces. All of the pieces are in good condition with no damage.
