I hope this blatant self-promotion is OK to post?
I've decided to clear out a portion of my collection to make some room. There is a good variety of items from LotR first edition sets (UK and US), an RU set, various Hobbits, and sone scholarly works.
My wife is running the auction on eBay and has listed everything to start at 0.99p. Even if you're not interested in buying anything: the items are well listed and photographed and should give a good indication of current market values... which as a collector I personally find fascinating. There are few things still to list, but the majority is now up. It's a UK auction only. Items are listed ending every 15 minutes for most of the day.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/rarebooksasgiftsI'm especially interested in seeing the price difference between a Clowes, Billing, and BCE, and seeing how some of the second edition UK slipcases sell at auction as (at least here in the UK) they don't seem to come up too often! #dataisbeautiful ;)

I'm so sorry!! Since Brexit, shipping anything outside the UK is a nightmare! My wife has sold 3 large items and all have had delays, or extra costs, or problems with delivery companies not understanding the new rules.
Laurin's suggestion seems a good one. I had no idea those services existed. Thanks.

I have used both services a couple of times. Worked very well for me.

I also have a few 1st edition sets on "buy it now" over on eBay and Etsy. They're priced very high over there, but I'm happy to sell cheaper over here if anyone is looking for any of these.
I have a great RU set listed at £2500 that I could let go for £1500 ON HOLD
A US early first edition set listed at £1400 but will sell here for £800
A UK 13/11/10 set in great jackets, but with cocked books, listed at £2300 but I could part with for £1200
And a UK 14/11/11 1965 set with lovely jackets listed at £2200 which I could do for £1100
I do only ship UK sorry. But a workaround has been posted earlier in the thread.

Thanks for the clarifications and responses.
However, to be honest, it wasn't the shipping complications (I thought I would have the package transit through someone in the UK requesting a service

) that prompted my question but the fact that the account Ebay you shared is "empty" when I look at it.
No announcement, sale or auction in progress. So I was wondering if your ads were somehow "blocked" for non-Brits.

I don't run the eBay account but I suspect that if there is a way to do that, my wife will have done it. Just to save all the inevitable shipping questions.

Same from Aus. The work-around I used: click the link from here and get the blank listing, note down the seller account name, then switch my default ebay shipping address to that country (ie my shipping forward address) & do the seller username search from that overseas interface.

Ah ! I had considered doing it to test and I told myself that it could not be so simple. I was wrong
It works great, thanks
