I recently acquired the russian hobbit illustrated by Denis Gordeev (Izdatel’stvo AST, 2022. ISBN: 978-5-17-116759-2) to keep my silmarillion and the lord of the rings company. While these books are hardbacks without Dustjackets they are still quite pretty books and Gordeevs illustrations really make them worthwhile. There are 20-25 illustrations per book. Some are colour illustrations and some are black and white renderings of his drawings. The endpapers are also quite well-made from Gordeevs drawings.

yes and some of these non-legendarium illustrations are also in published books with the same design: FoA, SoWM and tales from the perilous realm (extended edition i believe). I haven't decided yet to hunt these down even though I really like Gordeevs art....there has to be limits right ! :)
