We’re working on both recordings at the same time so that characters who cross over are sung by the same singers.

LOTR has priority and we’re about halfway through getting the voices on there. Hobbit will follow on when it’s ready.

We’re putting the cast member names in when they have completed their recording for both projects, so if you are wanting to check progress that’s the easy way.

There’s also going to be an album early next year of Paul’s solo piano works played by the incredible pianist Duncan Honeybourne. This will include the Akallabeth, Fall of Gondolin Wedding March and a new piece written for Duncan by Paul - The Passing of Arwen. These pieces are thematically linked to The Silmarillion operas along with Hobbit and LOTR.
