We found out about this Letter from a comment left on my collaboration video with Tolkien Talk tête-à-tête with TolkienGuide's Trotter on our YouTube channel.

I watched the video mentioned and at about 3 minutes in, a Tolkien letter is mentioned.

I asked if we could add the Letter to the Guide and have added it today as Letter number 2240

Thank you for sharing the letter contents with us, and if anybody else has or knows about any letters either to or from Tolkien or about the Professor, then we would love to add them to the Guide.

Thank you for adding my cousin's letter to the guide. As I mentioned on the video, she still has it.

This my favourite part of working on the Guide, when a letter still owned by the recipient somehow winds up finding a place on the Guide.

Yes, I'll pass on the thanks to my cousin as well as Trotter's urging that the letter be well cared for. Also thanks for your encouragement on the vids. I haven't been able to do a third one yet though I've been trying. Will take a while since I'm now rather under the weather.
