I so agree Aelfwine. What I do not understand is why IA allow in-copyright titles to appear in the library other than for users with print disabilities. Is it because the owners of IA think it will make users more generous with donating yet that is most unlikely given such people want to pay nothing for the in copyright book in the first place. Or is it because they are too disinclined to police or vet their library? Or because they think they can't. It's almost like they are treating the library and what it stands for,or should stand for,as a Trojan Horse containing other unwarranted activities and not giving a damn until legally forced to. Well shame on them.

IA turned over $30m last year.

The issue is that many of the people who stand by IA will donate to it before they will pay the author of the work. They think they are being edgy by opting for piracy.

Let us not mince our words on IA, they are a devil claiming to be a saint, knowing all too well they are in fact a devil.

$30m last year from stealing the many begging bowls. A devil devouring its own serpentine tail. So it begins.
