I decided to retire (effective yesterday), so my collecting days are over (again!), but I will try and pick up a loose Gawain from eBay at some point. Even though I already digitally de-texted the original paperback cover to get the art, I'd still like a hardback with that jacket. The in-house artist that did that, S&G, FoA and Maldon did a great job, especially with the good match with Sanderson's interior woodcuts.

What's the binding like on these? Glued or sewn?
They are glued, like the majority of trade editions at this price point.
Hello guys,
Do this happen in your boxsets? Some few millimeters of the books remain OUTSIDE the box...unprotected...is this even tolerable??

Other than being XS sized, it looks normal... tighter than I think it should be, something like HoMe 1st box...but hey I believe it should house the whole books...
It is a bit hard to judge from the angle of the picture how much they protrude. Production variation on a mass market product, I guess. If the Folio Hobbits have taught me anything, it is that there is a whole lot of unexpected variation in books, even those made by modern machines.
My box arrived today and is not as yours looks. It is exactly the same as the HoME boxes are so quite normal.
