Hi everyone,
I'm looking to buy the Lord of the Rings boxed set (2020 edition, illustrated by Alan Lee) here in the US. I've noticed that the cheapest option is currently around $90 from third-party sellers on Amazon.
However, I’ve come across several posts mentioning that the 5th printing of this edition can have serious defects. I'm a bit worried—if I go with the cheaper Amazon listing, is there a high chance I’ll end up with the problematic 5th printing?
For those who’ve bought this set recently or know more about it, where would you recommend buying from to avoid this risk and get a good copy?
Thanks in advance!
