It's much harder to come by than the other two.

Ostensibly a lettered copy of the deluxe edition Alan Lee sketchbooks. I've never heard of lettered versions of this before. Having it signed "D / 3000" seems odd.

Often non-commercial copies of a limited edition will be lettered.

Another example - the Folio Limited Hobbit

Letters are used a lot on limited editions, they are sometimes used for staff copies and for replacement copies if a fault is found.

$3300 is probably about right for these (unsigned) copies. Perhaps a tad high, but not by much and would be low for a signed one IMO. These are some of the most beautiful Tolkien books ever made and as there are only 500 in existence pretty sought after. Personally one of my favorite books I own.
