Books and other printed materials >> The Lord of the Rings: 70th Anniversary Deluxe (signed limited edition)
"27.1 x 17.8 x 16.8 cms;"
This would imply these are significantly larger than the current deluxe edition, as would the weight.

I think this is the size of the Clamshell, not the books.
Was also thinking about one thing : the spine now matches the cloth deluxe illustrated series (UT, S, Complete Guide of Middle Earth), with the same device.

Even taking into account the clamshell, those dimensions seemed a bit large. Bit I guess with all the daft trays, etc, maybe not…
I am thoroughly un-excited about this mostly because like someone else said - I feel like I already have these books and I have better versions of them (HC will never come close to the quality in the Folio limited deluxe). Furthermore I don't like this clamshell - it reminds me of my wife's jewelry box.
Decision has been made to steer my money towards other 'projects'.

Likewise. My funds are limited. This or a 2026 ski season pass? Ski pass wins - I feel I have this edition twice already - and in the case of the Folio, with that elusive element: decent art reproduction.
This feels like the Battlestar Galactica 1980 of limited editions, with the (also flawed) Folio as the original series, having a bigger budget, better sets and actors.

I'd say that's a stretch to call this LoTR matching with those other volumes.
