Meneg suilad, mellyn! Kibil aimenu!
I am Ukrainian tolkienist, and a fan of J.R.R.Tolkien`s writing. Now I am trying to find and gather the Art Legacy of the amazing Ukrainian painter, Tolkien illustrator, Sergey Iukhimov. Unfortunately, Sergey Iukhimov died. His site is not working now. It is hard to find and see most of his wonderful paintings now.
Northman, Zionis, in this thread you wrote that you have many Sergey Iukhimov`s paintings or pictures of it. Could you send it to me, please?
It is only chance to save most part of Sergey Iukhimov`s Art legacy. Me and my friends want to make free online gallery of amazing Iukhimov paintings for all people. I gathered near 191 of 246 or more digital pictures of S.Iukhimov`s paintings on Tolkien`s writings about Arda (119 of 125 drawings for LR, all 22 drawings for The Hobbit, and 52 of 100 drawings for The Silmarillion and others). I can send all my archive of digital pictures of S.Iukhimov`s paintings to you, in exchange, if you want.
Some of S.Iukhimov`s paintings were published in Danish Tolkien fanzine Athelas. Iukhimov wrote that his illustrations were published in Athelas
а) № 8, 1995, pp. 7, 11, 12, 21, 44
b) № 9, 1995, pp. 14,52
c) № 11, 1995, pp. 33, 47
d) № 13, 1996, pp. 3, 5, 6, 41, 43
е) № 14, 1996, pp. 18-26, 30-35, 38, 43, 47, 49, 52
d) № 15, 1996, pp. 43, 48, 52
Unfortunately, these Athelas issues are the only chance to see these pictures of Sergey Iukhimov `s paintings . But I cannot find these Athelas issues anywhere.
Does anyone have these numbers of Athelas with Sergey Iukhimov `s paintings? If you have it, could you scan it or take a photo of it and send it to me too, please?

Hi again!
I made Sergey Iukhimov`s Memorial Gallery. Everyone can find and look amazing pictures of S.Iukhimov now.
https://iukhimovgallery.wordpress.com
So, what about of possible number of S.Iukhimov`s artworks on J.R.R. Tolkien`s writings?
I found and gather only near 255-261 from 300 of S. Iukhimovs (big) artworks on J.R.R. Tolkiens writings: 22 for Hobbit, 133-138 for LOTR (with possible additional pictures), 100 or possibly 101 for Silmarillion and other J.R.R. Tolkiens writings (+3 small + 13 floral designs), and in summary only near 584 from 1100 pictures (including non-Tolkien pictures, not on J.R.R. Tolkiens writings) of all Iukhimov`s paintings (as he wrote this number self).
Only several pictures on J.R.R. Tolkiens writings are exactly known as missed. 1)The Steward of Gondor before the Empty Throne (full picture), 2)#10. Old Elm (Willow) man, 3)#97. Faramir and Éowyn, 4)#111. The Genealogy of the Princes of Dol Amroth - for LOTR, 5) unfound 1 from known 12 Beleriand landscapes for Silmarillion (but possibly it already found unnamed) and possibly, 6) Unexpected party for Hobbit.
Close Iukhimov`s friend wrote that S.Iukhimov had near 300 paintings on J.R.R. Tolkiens writings. This may include only "big" pictures and may not include small black/white pictures and floral designs for Athelas issues and Russian edition of Lord of the Rings.
Russian edition of Lord of the Rings beside big colour illustrations have also many small black/white pictures and floral designs. My friend have these 2 books of Russian edition of Lord of the Rings and will make photocopies of it, later. So, with these small black/white pictures and floral designs number of S.Iukhimov`s artworks on J.R.R. Tolkiens writings can be much bigger than 300, may be near 400.
If you have images in digital format of S.Iukhimov`s works, missed in S.Iukhimov`s Gallery or in much better quality, please send it to me via Mail or PM. A lot of thanks to all those who help to make this Gallery.
