Cool to see all the ephemera with this volume...asking price is not interesting, however. The book also has quite a bit of foxing, too bad it wasn't stored properly.

What are the storage errors that lead to foxing? Asking for a friend.

To prevent foxing, books typically should be kept in a cool, dry, clean room with minimal exposure to light. Avoid environments where temperature and humidity can fluctuate, such as basements, attics, areas near radiators and vents, and areas prone to lots of moisture. If one lives in a humid environment, one might consider investing in a de-humidifier for their book room and storage areas.

Humidity. Books need to be 40% or less ideally. Doesn't take much time at elevated humidity for the majority of books to fox. I hate foxing with a passion, so I keep my humidity well controlled!

Thanks both. I live in a swampy part of a swampy state (Maryland) but we basically run a dehumidifier non-stop, hopefully it helps!

Still rather overpriced for what it is if you ask me, but these usually go for a bit higher price:

Hmmm if it’s the same book it doesn’t feel like a significant mark up…

8k & fees means it sold for circa 10k

He is selling now for 12k minus 12% eBay fees —> so circa 10.4k

If my maths are correct he is basically trying to get his money back.
