HarperCollins are releasing some paperbacks and a hardback next year to mark the 25th Anniversary of the Peter Jackson Lord of the Rings Trilogy.
I think all of this years paperbacks have now been added. If they follow the same pattern as when the films came out, we could expect different covers next year and the year afterwards.

One of my best friends sent me a FB message the other day, reminding me of that time 25 years ago when we re-created the LoTR using the same optical effects as the movie. God, 25 years is a long time.
Crazy that the movie had such a cultural impact that we are still getting film-tie-in editions. I think that must be a record of some kind.
Wow, I did not even see that the Middle-earth from Script to Screen book was coming out - it looks absolutely amazing! I recently got most of the "about the movie" books from my local used book store (they had stacks of them to choose from) and they really are great to just flip through. You can tell a lot of care went into making the content of those books.
I am waiting for these movie tie-in trade paperbacks to release in the US - with them, I will have (I believe) a set of every trade paperback for The Lord of the Rings (and The Hobbit if there was a box set with it) printed in the US! Including all of the movie tie-in variations (which can still be purchased new in the shrink wrap pretty easily in the US on eBay).
For what it's worth, Fellowship of Fans did an interview with Kellie Rice (i.e. the K.M. Rice now properly credited as coauthor on the new edition; she also runs the Happy Hobbit YouTube channel), and I wrote an article pulling out some tidbits of it, as a kind of tempter for people to go look at the interview

Do you happen to know - are there sections of this book that are just copied from the previously released books such as The Art of The Lord of the Rings, The Complete Visual Companion, The Photo Guide, and The Making of The Lord of the Rings Trilogy (the movie books released contemporaneously with the movies)? This is not an issue for me, I was just curious.
No reference section but in the acknowledgement section they made it sound like it was a standalone effort from the team. They mentioned never before seen photos / interviews. It also mentioned a project manager who documented the art department 3foot7 during hobbit production
Obviously some behind the scenes/location photos might be reused, because only so many exist of specific items/places. If anything, it could be drawing on a lot of the material that exists otherwise only in video form, for instance in interviews on the extended edition DVDs (i.e. in The Appendices discs).
I don’t have the book, but I think we can safely say it wouldn’t use material from ‘The Art of the Lord of the Rings’, as that is an H&S book unrelated to the movies.
