Can somebody please help me with some info.

I'm trying to get a copy of the "Research v. Literature" review by Tolkien from The Sunday Times April 14, 1946.

If I purchased a digital subscription to the Times does that include access to their full historical Sunday Times archive, and does that archive have actually scans of the newspaper instead of text-only article archives? What information I'm seeing on the website seems vague on those details.

It might be silly for me to get a subscription just for this one item, but so far I haven't had any luck finding it otherwise.
Any help/advice much appreciated!

EDIT:
After some further digging, I think I have my answer that the historical archive is not included, but only available via the Gale database.
Unfortunately my library only offers the 1985-present archive for the Sunday Times, and not the historical one.
...the search continues.
