Was about to snag this until I saw the shipping is nearly as much as the book for me… alas!
Yes, international shipping prices these days are nuts.
It was shipping cost that largely killed my collecting (or morphed it into playing about with slipcases). Back in the early 2000s, I'd regularly surface mail books from the UK and US. The cost of the books was low enough that losing one wouldn't be the end of the world (not that I ever did). My entire US HoME came to Australia that way. $10 each volume and the same amount shipping (not inflation adjusted). Now, $50+ per volume and $50 shipping, with surface not an option. I can't imagine getting into collecting now if I wasn't based in the US or UK.
Boy, I am really not sure what to think about this one. But apparently someone had Alan Lee sign their Easton Press edition of the Silmarillion...

This belongs in the "wonders" thread IMO.
This showed up in a Saved Search for me a day or two ago and I couldn't decide if I should share it here or not. Does this version have Alan Lee art in it?Mr. Underhill wrote:

It’s fits more into „Wonders“. Alan Lee really does sign everything. 😉
