Excellent! Show me how to do that! I expect to post about more "exotic" calendars that have interesting backgrounds. Thanks.

When you create a post, you can add a hyperlink to it.

urls.jpg

If you click on the link icon, it will ask for the URL, in this case you can get that by copying the Calendar page

i.e. https://www.tolkienguide.com/guide/calendars/182

and then entering some text for it, such as Calendar Entry.

Calendar Link

should be added to your post.

Added to the 1997 S.T.E. Calendar of Imladris photo gallery today:

https://www.tolkienguide.com/guide/calendars/131

Not the biggest calendar ever (may be the smallest size-wise.) But at 79 pages, it is certainly the longest one. Could not add photos for all of the pages but I did add a few examples. All handwritten.

As time permits, have been photographing and/or annotating the monthly illustrations of a growing number of calendars. You can find them by sorting as “Updated.” These are new additions (for which the monthlies had not yet been seen here), annotations of current entries, and “oldies” (photos taken 20 - 30 years ago but redone with better color accuracy and resolution.)

These are things that I had wanted to do on my old site but were very tedious with the software. Urulókë has made it so easy that even a caveman could do it. !-)

Well, I did it. I have had the 1999, 2000, and 2001 S.T.I. calendars in the original sealed plastic wrap since I bought them >20 years ago. Never saw the insides. But I really wanted to post their monthlies. So I did what had been unthinkable to me: With a very sharp knife, I sliced along the top seal, photographed them, and returned them to their wraps. I also redid the 2002 IdeaLibri. So their entries all look great now (if I do say so myself.)

Added this to the Calendar Guide.

Elvish calendar

It’s really well produced, and here’s a detail from its creator: “A fun detail on the front of the calendar is that the Tengwar around the title reads "Genediad Imladris", which is "Reckoning of Rivendell" in Sindarin. (Taken from the root gonod- "to count" / genedia- "to reckon/calculate" plus the suffix -d to make it a gerund.) It's the little things like that which make this project special.”

If interested, order at elf-boi.com.

After being stuck in Customs for about three months, the 2022 and 2024 calendars from Spiros Gelekas finally arrived. Added photos to their Galleries:

I added photos of the monthly illustrations to the 2003 Lidia Postma calendar this morning:

https://www.tolkienguide.com/guide/calendars/189

The September illo is titled “Bilbo Baggins the Hobbler.”

https://www.tolkienguide.com/files/pub ... lendars/189/IMG_6378.jpeg

In the text, to hobble is defined as to perplex, impede and confuse. Cool.
