Thanks remy! After I posted the request for links, I remembered to check Superbuy and found all three of them. (And, of course, I placed an order on the same site visit.) And you are quite right, that seven-volume "canvas-bound" boxed set looks VERY nice!
Yes, the links point to the editions I referred to. The seller used wrong metadata for the last one; 9787545586268 (Tiandi Press) is another edition published last year, already listed in Taivo's site.

The “Doors of Durin” boxed set also includes Nomenclature as Appendix G.
Thank you, managed to grab all three.
The 7 clothbound box set looks wonderful, can't wait to receive it.
I'm curious to dive into the youth edition (which seems to have a text heavily condensed and a lot of illustrations).
Also, the first one (9787573161222) seems to have 2 versions : with and without slipcase.

Maybe just a case of stock photos with and without slipcase. Maybe only with slipcase?

Yes, that's possible. I saw recently some Chinese books / box sets with slight variations (brushed/ non brushed page edges for example) so I try to stay watchfull about variations :)remy wrote:

Especially on superbuy, sometimes you think you found the book you're looking for, and after more digging you discover another variant 😅
The blurb of the youth edition says "100+ illustrations", "Content unsuitable for children removed, retaining only the essence of adventures about family and friendship. This allows children to enjoy the story happily without being exposed to the darker aspects of the Lord of the Rings world that are unsuitable for young readers. Parents can rest assured that their children can read it on their own."
Unsure whether the first one has two variants. I asked one seller and it appears their version has no slipcase.

Thank you zionius, very helpful. Will be interesting to see this abridged version (even if I don't read chinese), will use Lens and follow illustrations
It will also be interesting to see how the one-volume abridged edition published a few months ago compares to this three-volume abridged edition. zionius, do you know if they are the same translation in variant one-volume and three-volume printings?

The one-volume one is an independent translation. This one is abridged from the same publisher's Jinhua Wang's translation.
