New Ukrainian Translation Just Out

The new Ukrainian translation has been sent out for those who made preorders. The website of Astrolabium still has it indicated for "preorders", but that will change soon. I received my books on Friday and they are very well made. They're rather large at 9.75 x 7 inches (the mat in the photo is marked in one-inch increments). The pages are sturdy and the typeface is nice and readable (if you read Ukrainian). Here is the link for ordering: https://astrolabium.com.ua/Lord_of_the ... Illustrated_Tolkien.html. In the package each volume was individually wrapped in bubble wrap so they were well-insulated for the perilous intercontinental trip. (BTW, I accidentally ordered TWO sets, so if you'd like to propose a trade or sale, I'm open to offers. That includes the Hobbit, Silmarillion, and Great Tales in the same format as the new LOTR that I also accidentally ordered duplicates of.)

Greetings!
I'm from Ukraine and can share some extra details about this.

This illustrated edition is actually still on pre-order and will be until August, because the first print run completely sold out during the initial pre-order phase (we were all incredibly excited for it). So, this is already the second wave of pre-orders!

The exact print run size hasn't been disclosed, but we estimate it was around 4,000 copies per volume for the first run. They are still being shipped out to the first pre-order buyers (it's been going on for three weeks now).

Regarding the translation: it's still the 2013 version by Kateryna Mikhalitsyna (prose; née Onishchuk) and Nazar Fedorak (poetry). However, it has undergone a thorough edit to fix some errors and tweak certain translation choices, and some of the poems have been newly translated by Olena O'Lear.
