(Grumble ahead) Just checked the AU Harper Collins site, and it has the release date here as the 28th Jan next year. I honestly don't know why they are months behind, is it because everything is made in the northern hemisphere and packed on a boat?
I can order a copy from the UK and get it faster than getting it from the local branch of the publisher.

You are correct. These books are printed in the Northern Hemisphere, and they do use Container Shipping to send them to other parts of the world. It can take months for items shipped this way to reach the final destination, hence the delay. If you order from the UK, it is sent by air-mail and will be much quicker.
I guess there's no real market pressure to do a simultaneous release in major English-speaking countries. Oh well. Still haven't finished reading the haul of Tolkien books from the end of last year, so it's not like I've got nothing to read and I'm itching for something new

Preview-able on the Kobo site. If anyone is curious about copyright pages, the contents, and even a few pages of sneak peek….

On the Kobo site, it lays eBook previews as 2 pages at once. In the instance where there’s one ‘page’ the font may appear larger compared to other images in this set. (these were cropped with the Snipper Tool in Windows 11. And any ‘resizing’ was done automatically as a result of that. I haven’t thoroughly explore the settings of that particular program, but that’s the reasoning why)
[MOD EDIT: Post edited to remove copyrighted material. Linking to the preview is fine but please do not reproduce images taken from a preview here. Once we have the book in hand we will post images of the copyright page.]

It's listed as "Low Stock" already on harpercollins.co.uk, hopefully that means it's selling really well!

Great news for this sweet volume.
I will add while I am here that we had a couple of errors in our review regarding illustrations. We said that 'Broad Street, Oxford' was previously unpublished. It has in fact been printed previously in John Garth's Tolkien at Exeter College. We also missed the colour illustration of 'O to be in Oxford'. This had previously been published in black and white in Artist and Illustrator.
Thanks I missed this solicit and just ordered a signed copy.
Are there any more of the hardcovers coming out? I’d love to manifest a follow up to the myths and legends boxed set!

The Bovadium Fragments, yet another collection of JRR Tolkien ephemera, arrived last month, and it left even devoted fans feeling cold.

I wonder who these devoted fans are 🤔
