There are two variants to this Canadian boxed set, looks this is Variant 1.

Yeah, I hadn't specifically recalled the other variant coming up either, when I checked on tolkienbooks.us before buying it (thanks for the resource, Berelach!). Has to be said, I don't look on ebay.ca THAT often, so it may just be that I missed them.
