Leaf By Niggle streaming show

Puppet State Theatre has gotten permission from the Tolkien Estate to film their wonderful one-man show "Leaf By Niggle" performed by Richard Medrington, which was filmed quite recently at the Scottish Storytelling Centre's Netherbow Theatre, and will be available for streaming next week, for those willing to chip in to cover costs. I was able to see his performance a year ago at Tolkien2019, and it really was marvelous. It bring's Tolkien's story to life with his warm performance, and I am very excited to be able to see it again. If you are interested, "The Man Who Planted Trees" is also available for streaming - a puppetry and storytelling adaptation of Jean Giono's classic fable of a shepherd who dedicates forty years to regenerating a barren area of the South of France.

I agree, Tolkien did not like many adaptations of his works, but I think in this case, he would.

Just a reminder to those of you who have the link to watch ‘JRR Tolkien’s Leaf by Niggle’ that it is only available until noon on Tuesday 1st September - UK time. You won’t be able to watch the show on YouTube after that because the link will be inactive.
The terms of our agreement with the Tolkien Trust stipulate that we can provide the show online only for seven days at a time.
