I got an email this morning from Blackwell's that my order had shipped, I ordered both Sil's and reading copies of Edwards Tolkien bio and Carpenter's Inklings.

Interestingly enough Blackwell's order invoice said they shipped Sil's together with the Edwards but Inklings had not shipped yet...

Ironically the complete list of illos seemed like it was one of the last things people showed from UT release. I, too, am primarily interested in just seeing the new art.

Now that this is public, here is what Ted told me:

"The 2 new ones are: Luthien at Tol Galen, and Turgon at Fingolfin's Cairn. The republished 2 works are Turin Slays Glaurung and Earendil Searches Tirion."

So added together, that's 4 that have not - until now - appeared in an illustrated edition.

I put in an order for the standard edition with Kenny.ie. Interested on seeing how it turns out, as by far the cheapest way of getting a copy to NZ.

Thanks Urulókë for the list of illustrations. Turgon at Fingolfin's Cairn is such a powerful painting, I like it

The orange of the limited edition hurts my eyes, TBH. They should have gone with the dark orange hue of the 1998 deluxe... The trade edition looks nice though.
