Interesting that they are flipping the title of the work and the author's name on the spine from the other two volumes

JRR Tolkien
--{}{}{}---
Unfinished Tales

to

Guide to Middle-earth

Robert Foster

I would guess that is because Tolkien's name is not on the spine, only the monogram.

Makes sense. You read from top to bottom. Most people won't know who Robert Foster is, so the key thing to read is the bit with "Middle-earth" in it, whereas with the others "Tolkien" is the selling point.

Makes sense, to your earlier point, I do hope the green ends up being a bit darker than this mock up.

This is sooner than I expected. Looking forward to this. Glad they have experience with this format, so they are likely to do a reasonable job (though until the green isn’t proven to be dayglo…)

Maybe it will be released in a lovely orange colour..

Any word on whether there'll be an ebook?

I always thought it odd we have Tyler's book but not Foster's.

Starting to see some price movement on the Deluxe, Speedyhen have it listed for £63.37, but no pre-order as yet https://www.speedyhen.com/Product/Robe ... efinitive-Guide-/27508795

Will probably order if I see it for less than £60 for sale.

I wonder if it has been updated with Silmarillion and UT material or if this has already been done before...

The Complete edition of 2003 was H to S, no UT.

Appears the release date has been pushed back about a month to September 1st...it's almost like there is something else happening around that time
