The History of the Hobbit is being reissued in hardback and as a new deluxe edition.
From the publisher
It is a straight reissue – not a revised edition, and with the same plates as previously – but we thought it warranted a new jacket (less beige!) to bring it into line with The Nature of Middle-earth and other recent hardbacks.
Currently scheduled to be released 16 March 2023.

Sorry to be dense but what series of deluxe is this? I assume the style that has a poster with it?
There's no further information available yet. Due to the material inside, it seems more likely to be similar to Nature of Middle-earth layout than the newer style full wraparound art slipcases.

Agreed, based on the price point as well. I have added to the store under the "forthcoming" section. So we'll be able to keep an eye on it as the more info develops.

I'd hope for that, though really as long as it doesn't match the "deluxe" 3-volume HoME set I'd consider it a win.

Assuming this to match the Children of Húrin style set, I am very pleased to see this. One of the more important Tolkien publications of this millennium, and quite deserves to be shelved with the pantheon.
