You are wise, and cruel. you have robbed my revenge of sweetness, and now I must go hence in bitterness, in debt to your mercy. I hate it and you!"
If Frodo had been given the ring the first time at this point I suspect he would have had grown enough to even be able to dominate or attempt to dominate some other minds with the ring.
Very interesting conversation that made me order Hillmans book. Some blurbs and debates lately have made me wonder if Tolkien scholarship has left the path of wisdom, but hearing Tom Hillman speak with you guys was a joy.
