I recently came across an anthology of poems from 1946 that contains a poem by Tolkien. It is called ‘A Pocketful of Rhymes’, edited by Katherine Love and illustrated by Henrietta Jones. It was published by Thomas Y. Crowell Company (New York).
On page 35 are the first two stanzas of the poem “Sing All Ye Joyful” from ‘The Hobbit’.
I had not previously found any information about this book and its connection with Tolkien.
