British author who gave us Bilbo Baggins and created Middle Earth - the world of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Fountain pen signature, 'J. R. R. Tolkien,' adding 'nai elen siluva lyenna' underneath on an off-white 5.5 x 3.5 card. A couple of light thumbprints, otherwise fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope and a printed letter from Tolkien thanking the collector.
