I am 100% certain that it is not leather but "it is a paper printing (leatherette)"

That thing's a mess!
 This price surprised me: Lord Of The Rings, The Hobbit, Silmarillion, Folio Society LIMITED EDITION, RARE I know they're matching numbers, but £1000!?  BH
