G.B. Smith writes that he is unwell and says that Tolkien's letters offer him consolation, especially Tolkien's mentions of Smith's Newgate Prize entry. He confirms he has sent on Tolkien's poems to Rob Gilson. Smith is unsure if he will be able to make the T.C.B.S. meeting on the 18th April.
