Stanley Unwin writes to Tolkien in reply to his letter Letter from J.R.R. Tolkien to Stanley Unwin • 17 November 1937 (#1009)[1] on foreign translations of The Hobbit. He mentions that GA&U are working to arrange German, Scandinavian, and other translations. Unwin notes that he will write to Simonne d’Ardenne and Mlle Tardivel on the matter.
