TCG Letter #2515

Tolkien writes to University College on the matter of the Quain Chair being filled. The Board of Advisors are due to elect a member, and Tolkien wants to know if the meeting on 6 June is still planned. He notes that C.L. Wrenn has accepted the Rawlinson and Bosworth Chair at Oxford therefore only candidate remains. He remarks on his health and does not want to waste a day if the meeting will not take place.
