Writing to Tolkien, he remarks that the reprint of The Hobbit is moving slowly. There are problems at the printers and binding houses currently. He encloses £50 in anticipation of the royalties which will be due on the reprints. He says he is looking forward to reading The Lord of the Rings but difficulties caused by paper shortages are worse than during war and publishing the large work will be difficult.
