Tolkien replies to C.A. Furth regarding the return of Mr. Bliss. Letter from C.A. Furth to J.R.R. Tolkien • 15 February 1938 (#2134)[1] Tolkien expresses regret for any trouble caused and wishes someone could redraw the pictures properly, as he doesn't believe he is capable of it due to time constraints. He mentions the challenges of both drawing and writing, noting that he could easily write "first chapters" but struggles with the subsequent steps. Tolkien reflects on the sequel to The Hobbit.
