TCG Letter #837

In an update to his letter of 24 January, Tolkien confirms that he has asked for GA&U to help clear up the matter of the copyright situation, and thanks Lanier for clearing up his query regarding the arrival of his book. In a handwritten post script, Tolkien concludes that he would be happy if Lanier paid a small royalty to United Artists who now had the rights to merchandise based on Tolkien's books.
