A rare copy of Tolkien’s Unfinished Tales, highly sought after by Tolkein collectors for its unique cover art. This is a painting by Ted Nasmith of the Blue Wizards, whose stories are told within the book. Ted Nasmith is a famous Tolkien illustrator along the lines of Alan Lee, having been invited to draw concept art for the Lord of the Rings movies, although he declined for personal reasons. His work was praised by Tolkein when he sent it to him. All this has solidified his reputation as a legendary Tolkien artist, and driven up demand for this copy of Unfinished Tales.
