I acquired a 1984 (9th impression) De Luxe edition of the Lord of the Rings. It is the single volume edition with the thin, india style paper. This edition came with the two folded Middle-earth maps tipped in. I was recently looking at a similar 1990 edition (11th impression) and noticed that the two maps were printed on the inside front and rear boards and endpapers. Does anyone know if this was done for the 1985 (10th impression)? I am just interested to know if the impression I have was the last one to have the folded maps included.
