Cover omission

Hi everyone
I have a "Return Of The King" paperback (Unwin paperbacks, 1984)) with a misprinted cover design- the title of the book is missing on the cover and spine. See attached pic. Has anyone come across this before? Could it have some collectors value?

I'm a lifelong Tolkien nut - off to see massive Tolkien exhibition in Oxford on Monday - very excited!!

Thank you

Of collectable interest? For those who like quirky publishing curiosities, yes. For everyone else it's just a mis-printed 1980's Pb though. So in respect to value, no; can't imagine anyone would pay you much for this. Do you only have RK?

Thanks BH
Yes, I have all 3 in the series, but only RK has this printing error

Well, it's nice to have a set, even if only the one is mis-printed. Other typical publishing error examples are editions with mis-bound gatherings; typically bound upsidedown. I'm sure there are other examples. All funny to look at but not really pushing the value anywhere other than south. So for example: when you have a 1982 Super Deluxe Silmarillion with gatherings that are entirely loose due to the machine binder missing them, that's not really the copy you (& other collectors) were after...
