Yorkshire Dialect Society ephemera from 1921
Feb 1
Here is another interesting bit of ephemera shared by my friend Alan over on Facebook. This is a handbill from late 1921, advertising the upcoming events of the Yorkshire Dialect Society, including the talk given on January 20th, 1922 by J. R. R. Tolkien at Leeds University. Scull and Hammond say it was "poorly attended" in their Chronology (2017, p. 127)
