For what it's worth, I'm living pretty close to the Wade Center right now; it's a day trip, but an easy one (Marquette's a little further but also within reach). I'm sure I'll be finding reasons to visit every now and then so if anyone needs anything that can't be coordinated from the internet, you can let me know.

Good evening all,
I just joined this excellent homepage and I found a piece of information you might find useful.

I checked the Copenhagen Street Directories 1923 - 1928 and The Oxford University Press had its offices in:
Store Kongensgade 40H, 4.
('4' means '4th floor')

I got to 1928 when I was sidetracked by dinner, but if you want me to check further years, do let me know.

Thanks for the info. So far as I can tell from other 1928 jackets, Copenhagen wasn't actually listed on the jacket, despite being shown on the impressum. Hopefully we will get a photo of the actual jacket soon, and we can see how wide of the mark I might have been!

You are most welcome.
I clean forgot my manners. What a great job you have done on the dustwrappers.

There is a copy at the reference library in Manchester and I will be in Manchester tomorrow and Tuesday so I will head over at some point and see if they have a dust jacket.

Heard back promising news from the Wade Center - one of their copies is definitely logged as having the dustjacket:

They will try to pull it in the next day or so and get back to me with further info.

Thanks to Uroloke and the Wade Centre, I now have the information to correct/finish the jacket. I was pretty close! Will post up here when done, to conclude the thread with what it should look like.

Ta. He is pretty good (albeit capable of generating some serious noise!)
