It’s also exciting to think of the deluxe edition

This is exciting news -- congratulations, Aelfwine!

I didn't think we'd ever again see a substantial amount of previously unpublished material (except maybe in the linguistic journals). I'm really looking forward to this.

I’ve posted this on TheOneRing.net with a link back here to the source.

What material could possibly add up to the legendarium that was not covered in the 12 volumes of the History of Middle Earth ?

Aside from the fact these texts are unpublished it also comes from a different perspective and that is exciting to me. What Christopher achieved is second to none but 'new' minds being given the opportunity in this way offers us something different.

Not sure if this 'real' or a 'retailer's error'; though Blackwell's has a listing for it:

https://blackwells.co.uk/bookshop/product/The-Nature-of-Middle-Earth-by-J-R-R-Tolkien-Carl-F-Hostetter-editor/9780008440572?a_aid=tolkienguide

Relevant info at a glance:

ISBN: 9780008440572
Pub date: 27 May 2021
Number of pages: 400
Height: 228mm
Width: 149mm

That price has to be a placeholder. I doubt it'll be that much. I've added it to my wishlist so that I have it handy in case it is the real deal.

[Admin edit] The link is no longer valid, Blackwells has taken down the page for this book.

Probably a mistake - it should read "hardback"
