I don't want any of that stuff personally.

What I want is a Jemima Catlin Lord of the Rings. She deserves a chance and The Lord of the Rings needs something thst isn't Alan Lee.

I only want new content or manuscript editions.

Sorry: LARGE print editions of some of the M-e books.

None of those appeal to me personally either. I would definitely prefer it if HarperCollins published less and focused on compelling content rather than publishing more that is either repetitive or superfluous. Even the new 2020 illustrated set feels redundant to me, despite the quality being a bit better than their average. I've seen those Alan Lee pictures far too many times.

I could absolutely get behind this, too!

As much as I love her artwork, I believe her whimsical style is best suited for younger reader-target content (The Hobbit, Tales From the Perilous Realm, other Tolkien's children's books...). On that same note, as much as I like Alan Lee, I don't find his style fits for The Hobbit or Tales From the Perilous Realm, but rather The Lord of the Rings and the great tales. Lee's artwork IS good....but it doesn't convey 'children's book' to me the same way that Catlin's style does.

Who wants the Folio Society to produce editions for Unfinished Tales, Tales from the Perilous Realm, Children of Hurin, Beren & Luthien, & Fall of Gondolin similar to their current Tolkien editions? I would buy those

I also wouldn't mind a Facsimile First Edition Lord of Rings Set.

Many Tolkien fans over the years have been after FS to do an Unfinished Tales, yet it doesn't seem as if they're listening....if they were, we'd have it by now. It would be great to have more of Tolkien's Middle-earth works published by them. Or even a few non-Middle-earth titles.

Her style is perfect for The Lord of the Rings. She did a Gandalf and Frodo piece a while back which was perfect and a few others that captured the feel of the book really well.

Yes, I would like to see more Folio Society Tolkien editions, but not in the same old style as they have done for LotR, Sil, and H.
They should make a new edition line in a style like their Song of Ice and Fire from George M. M. Martin. These ones look really deluxe.

That would be great! Folio could have all my money if they did that. :)
