It was actually Urulókë who created this, and I agree it is fantastic.

A quick glance at the new book, and 1936 is interesting as it appears to have reproduced an envelope from 1936 for the first time on page 149. However, the other 1936 envelope that was in the Deluxe edition on page 144 does not appear to be reproduced in the 100th anniversary edition

Why why WHY is it so damn hard for Harper Collins to release a proper definitive edition without missing anything or making any silly bungles?

I mean...c’mon... there’s only so many letters and envelopes. Why the continuous hodgepodge since this book was first released? ?

The envelope from page 149 (centenary) was previously on page 137 (deluxe) and the envelope from page 144 (deluxe) is on page 137 (centenary). They have just been shifted. Neither is new or missing Trotter.

I have found a full flip-through of the book on Facebook. New edition is shown starting from 2:10 time. Audio is in polish, but we all know that video is the most important if you want to see the book)

New edition of LfFC full flip-through (scroll to 2:10)

Does this edition have the quote by Tolkien about Christmas at the very front of the book, the way the collector's edition does? Or is there something else? (I saw a video but it was zoomed out too much to see what it was)

Yes, the two page handwritten note by Tolkien explaining his family's tradition around the Father Christmas Letters is reproduced in the 2020 Centenary edition, as it was in the 2019 deluxe edition.
