I would like to start the hunt for the HoME Hardbacks 1st/1st, what do you mean with "affordable prices" for that condition? Just to have an idea of what to expect and what to search for.

FWIW, I paid around £ 50 for each of the 3 books.
You are referring to these Bergelmir http://www.tolkienbooks.net/php/details2.php?id=1238, right ? I was thinking about the 12 plus index hardback volumes. These (the 3 books with part one, two and three of the 12 volumes and multiple indexes related to each volume and not one for the whole HoME) I have used as "reading copies" but because of size and paper thickness they were not very comfortable to hold and writing pencil comments on them was nearly impossible.

Not at all
I was talking about the ones I bought, in the photo before your question.

Sorry, my fault, I was puzzled to read "for each of the 3" because I did not realize that there were three in the photo and so I thought you were referring to those above, coming to think of it, that was odd. Though from what I've gathered £ 50 is a really good price for the condition you got.

It’s been a few weeks, so here’s an update for me (excluding the Silmarillion and Remembrancer new releases).

Glad to see that you have received our calendars!

The atlas is a great find because it is often sold quite expensive, even in France. Interesting fact: its designer, Jérôme Lereculey, is passionate about the Arthurian gesture and has released an excellent comic strip on this theme.

here a little update from me.
I've ordered 'The Peterborough Chronicle' February, 16th from the US - today I picked it up from my local customs office...I already thought it is lost.

'Stories and Rhymes' is a nice little booklet published by BBC Radio for Schools for the summer terms 1973 to accompany their broadcast programme. It contains poems and songs and is nicely illustrated.

The last pic shows you a royal letter from Denmark. It's the answer on my inquiry to Her Majesty, Queen Margrethe II, to sign a copy of LotR, illustrated by her as Ingahild Grathmer.
Unfortunately she didn't want

Some recent acquisitions from eBay, Amazon and Palgrave. Introduction to Elvish is on its way but it's delayed! I think I got very good prices for all of them!

This was delivered today. I was the only bidder on eBay. There was no mention of being inscribed in the description. I've paid 1,99 € ...
