I confirm the book has been sold. (I have added it to my watched items on Abe).
It's in relatively nice condition, considering this book often comes with rubbing.

It certainly wasn't the best I have seen, but it was pretty decent. I did actually expect it to sell, given we have a market where people are paying £100+ for a Silmarillion. In terms of relative value, the PIR Hobbit was a bargain...

I have the data but the widget isn’t showing correctly for sold AbeBooks items yet. Working on it!

Asking price only- don’t know if that is what was paid, but better than nothing.

As I've expressed earlier, that edition is not my cup of tea. That copy that sold seems pricey even with sale prices being what they currently are.

What did the rest of you pay for that edition?

I paid £43.43 (no idea why the strange amount) in 2015. Second impression, similar condition overall (though no stamps or writing in mine).

I paid $363 for the first impression (in clean VG cond.) and $164 for the second (in Good- cond. w/inscription).
