Stu - Same here. It’s been a while since I’ve had to avoid Tolkein spoilers. I’m skimming past some posts here and elsewhere so as to discover the new content myself, in my own time and space. ?

I'm avoiding reviews in the meantime, as I will be reading this in small bites when it arrives (due to time) and will be nice to discover it through my own eyes.

That was part of the reason behind the separate thread for reviews and interviews, makes it easier to avoid 'spoilers'.

I have had a quick look at current RRP's if you have not ordered yet.

The main change is for people in Australia as Booktopia have reduced the RRP on both the Trade and Deluxe to $37.75 and $92.25 respectively.

Blackwells have reduced the Trade edition to £17.99 and The Book Depository have decided to go the other way and charge £5 more than the RRP for the book

After discussion with one of my booksellers, I learned about the NoME deluxe that the supplier in England (I imagine this is directly from Harper Collins) was already out of stock and was indicating to the booksellers an "awaiting reprint".

Getting reports of Book Depository canceling some orders. This has not happened to me.

After a check on my order status it says: Trade is "processing" Deluxe is "awaiting publication"

They just cancelled mine, ordered on 17th July (after sending me the "it's on the way" email).

I think these are the first pictures of the NoME Deluxe edition seen on the internet so far :

Colour is really close (if not the same) of Beowulf Deluxe edition.

BD does that sometimes, they did something similar when Maker of M-E came out. Didn't shop with 'em for a couple of years after that.
As far as the Nature goes, I got an email saying that mine was shipped, I guess pre-ordering in June paid off. I'd usually go with Blackwell's but their delivery is bad and books come damaged, some of them significantly, and I'm really hoping I'll avoid that with BD.

Stu: Are you sure that the email you got few days ago wasn't just alerting you that the book was on the way from publisher to BD warehouse? Both that and "we've shipped it" email have a heading that says "it's on the way".

Someone on Facebook contacted BD customer service and got this reply:
