Three lots that look like they come from a book dealer (large quantities of the same books).
Can see this being bought and the duplicate copies being sold on eBay by a dealer, or if people here are interested these could be bought by a consortium from this site.

Dealer box for sure. Similar, I imagine to the one my minty Silmarillion came from.

I'm very interested in some of the hardcover books (Sil, UT, Lotr,H). So if someone here would organize such a consortium, I'd be in!

Some kind of bleaching effect? The original green is very '70's green'.

Yes maybe, but this effect doesn't affect the other books nearby.
Moreover, the lettering on the spine of this edition of Sir Gawain should be orange, not white, unless the spine has faded, which seems unlikely considering that all the books around are new...
Anyway from this picture the colour looks like the one used for the first UK edition of
Finn and Hengest.

Might have been stored in a different place or maybe aquired from a different origin at some point in time. Anyone have a slightly sunfaded copy that can compare the effect?

When zooming at the picture, the rest of the jacket seems to be consistently light brown, even if I consent that is hard to affirm.

Auction's on. I'm not able to paticipate with my German credit cards. So if anyone here acquires the lots, please let me know, I'm very interested in some of the books.
