How do we know that it is not Faith's writing? Does anyone have any samples of her writing.

It's Christopher's. The way he joins "st" and "ph" when writing his name is distinctive.

I suspect that the inscription is to the sisters Elizabeth and Aileen Jennings. Perhaps Findegil can confirm this?
